Booking Planner is a SharePoint Framework (SPFx) web part. It installs once on your SharePoint Online tenant and can then be added to any page, Teams tab, Outlook personal app, or Microsoft 365 home pane by any user with rights on that surface. Allow about thirty minutes for the first office setup (the floor-plan drawing is the longest step); subsequent locations take less.

Common pitfalls
Web part not appearing in the gallery
The most common cause is that the SharePoint admin installed the package but didn’t make it available across the tenant. Check the App Catalog and re-deploy with the tenant-wide option ticked.
Licence validation error
Make sure your SaaS subscription is active in the marketplace, and that the tenant ID matches the subscription. If the issue persists, contact us and we can help diagnose.
Floor plan image looks pixelated
The plan is shown at the size of the web part container. Use a high-resolution PNG (2x the rendered size minimum). Vector floor plans can be exported as PNG from CAD or Visio at the resolution you need.
Outlook event not created on booking
Automatic Outlook event creation is a Standard-tier feature; on the Free tier, bookings are recorded but only the manual .ics download is available. On Standard, check that the user’s mailbox is reachable and Outlook Calendar API permissions are consented in the SharePoint Admin Center.
Role-based permissions not honoured
Three things must be right: the Azure AD group exists, the group’s exact display name is entered in the admin panel, and the Microsoft Graph API permissions (User.Read.All, GroupMember.Read.All) are granted to the SharePoint app with admin consent.
Outlook iOS doesn’t load the app
Known Microsoft platform issue with SPFx apps in Outlook iOS (not specific to Booking Planner). Workaround: use the Microsoft Teams mobile app or Outlook Web in the device’s browser.
